Mary-Clare was a constant presence on the bases all week as the Piper softballers won five of eight games in California. The sophomore second sacker was 10-for-24 with a triple, a stolen base and two RBI as HU improved to 7-5 overall on the season. 

The Fridley, Minn. native is hitting a brisk .390 at the plate and leads the Pipers in hits and stole bases. She has also been sharp in the field, turning four double plays already -- tied for second in the MIAC. Couillard and the Pipers won their last four games and will take a winning streak into the start of the conference season this week. Weather permitting, HU will play four games at home this week.

Concordia is slated to visit Meredith Field Wednesday for a pair of games at 3;30 p.m. Carleton is due in for two games Saturday at 1:00 p.m.
