When it comes to being on the volleyball couirt, Hamline senior Vassi Prattas believes in the old adage: "It is better to give than receive." 

The Floridian has been giving the ball a lot to her teammates lately. She recoded her fifth doiuble digit assist total in a row when she handed out 13 in last Saturday's 3-0 win over Macalester at Hutton Arena. 

It capped a big week that saw Vassi distribute 19 assists (one short of her career high)  in a 3-0 win over Crown on Oct. 5. She came back with the same number of helpers on Oct. 9 in a 3-0 loss to Northwestern. Prattas and Amelia Jensen have been sharing the support role lately for the Pipers, who will take a 9-10 overall mark (2-4 in the MIAC) into Wednesday's 7:00 p.m. Hutton Arena engagement with St. Benedict. 

In addition to handing out 19 assists at Crown, Prattas had a career high three service aces in the match. She finished the week with six service aces and 16 digs. 

It's a busy week for Prqattas and her mates. In addition to the CSB match Wednesday, HU will play a pair of non-conference affairs Saturday against Loras (12:00 p.m.) and Simpson (3:00 p.m.) in St. Peter.
