Johnson had a big day at the UW-Eau Claire Tournament on September 16, where the Pipers fell to Illinois Wesleyan 3-1, and defeated Wartburg 3-2. The junior from St. Louis Park, Minnesota registered a career-high in back-to-back games with 12 kills against Illinois Wesleyan, and 13 against Wartburg. She began the week with a career-high 15 digs in a 3-1 loss at UW-Stout on September 13. Johnson finished the week with a .253 hitting percentage. Johnson's performances landed her on the 2023 All-Sandy Schumacher Memorial Volleyball Tournament Team.
