Bennett Cooper is clearly getting accustomed to the pace of being a regular on a MIAC team. The St. Paul native moved into the starting lineup six games ago ... and the Pipers have been the better for it, winning four of those games.

Last week, the junior who played his prep ball at nearby Como Park, had three solid games, scoring 29 points and adding 17 rebounds as Hamline defeated Otterbein and Macalester to improve to 6-5 overall, 3-3 in the MIAC.

Ironically, Bennett scored a career high 16 points in the lone loss of the week -- a 71-57 decision at Cal Lutheran. 

For the season, Bennett ranks second on the team in rebounds (4.8 per game) and fourth in scoring (8.2).
