Dylan Sperry ... and the Piper men's tennis team ... are off to a good start in the MIAC. The Scandia, MN senior won his singles and doubles match as the Pipers vaulted into the early MIAC standings lead with a 7-2 win at Concordia. Playing No. 1 singles, Sperry rolled to a 6-0, 6-3 win to start the Pipers on their way. He later teamed with Sam Peterson for an 8-2 win at No. 1 doubles.

Sperry also won at singles in the season opener, a 7-2 loss to St. Scholastica. He and the Pipers will be bust Saturday when they face UW-Eau Claire in the afternoon and perennial MIAC power Gustavus Adolphus at night. Both matches will be in St. Peter.
