3/4/2013 10:53:00 AM

The forecast for the Twin Cities on Monday, March 4 is for the sky to open up and  anywhere from six to 10 inches of snow will fall around the area.

In other words, perfect baseball weather.

The Pipers take their undefeated record (3-0) to the Metrodome in Minneapolis for a doubleheader with UW-Stout. The first game is scheduled to start at 4:30 p.m.

Matt Eickman (2-0, 0.90) and Dan Ellefson (1-0, 0.00) are the likely starting pitchers against the Blue Devils (0-2).

Hamline is coming off a 4-1, 8-3 sweep of Bethany Lutheran on February 26. The top of the batting order has proved to be potent in the early going. Leadoff hitter Jordan Buck is currently hitting .667 while number two bat Dan Moro is close behind at .625.

HU is back at the Metrodome Wednesday, March 6 for a nine-inning game with the University of Minnesota. Game time is 6:30 p.m. Last year, the Pipers battled the Golden Gophers for nearly four hours and 16 innings before falling, 3-2.
