Box Score It would not be surprising if the state of Wisconsin bands together to keep Malya Hirshkowitz out of the state altogether. The sophomore scored her third goal of the season 9:29 into the game to get the Pipers going in a 2-0 win over UW-Stout in Menominee, Wis.

Amy Ramras recorded two saves as HU improved to 7-3-2 overall on the season. Hirshkowitz, whose other goals this year came against UW-LaCrosse and UW-River Falls, converted a three way passing play with Alicia Williams and Nicole Verdoorn to give the Pipers an early lead on this brisk night. Anna Futterer converted an Elena Jimenez pass for her fourth goal of the season with 1:17 remaining to put the game out of reach.

A tight defense held the Blue Devils to just two shots on goal all night. Ramras swatted both of them away to record her fifth shutout of the season. That is the second best single season total in school history. Her GAA for the season is 0.34, second only to St. Benedict's Megan Favorite (0.24)

Hamline will take its 1-3-1 MIAC mark into action Saturday, October 11 when they trek to Moorhead to face Concordia. Game time is 1:30 p.m.
