11/24/2015 7:53:00 PM

Box Score Once Chelsey Bonsante got warmed up, she was very hard to stop. The junior guard poured in 29 points -- the most by any MIAC player this season but the HU women's basketball team lost at UW-Stout, 86-63, Tuesday. The 29 points -- 23 of which came in the second half -- were two short of her career high set last year at Northwestern.

Bonsante connected on 10 of 18 shots, four of which were three-pointers for HU, which fell to 0-4 on the season. She currently ranks second in the MIAC in points (79), points per game (19.8) and minutes played per game (34.5).

Chloe Graves. who is fourth in the league in points per game (17.8) added 13 and Tia Diggins corralled a career high six rebounds for the Pipers.

The Blue Devils, however, shot 47 per cent and never trailed. They sprinted out of the gate to take a 25-10 lead after a quarter. HU pecked away in the second session, using a Bonsante three-pointer to get within eight at 27-19 but Stout went on a 10-3 run to close the half, led 46-26 at halftime and held the Pipers at bay from there.

Hamline is off until Monday, November 30 when they play at Crown in St. Bonifacius, Minn. Game time is 7:00 p.m.
