12/5/2015 9:58:00 PM

Box Score The Hamline men's basketball team ran into an unstoppable force named Jon Christensen. As a result, they fell back to the .500 mark with a 3-3 overall record after a 80-67 non-conference loss at UW-River Falls Saturday. Christensen scored half of the Falcons' points and also had a game high 14 rebounds.

HU stayed with the Falcons for quite a while. The game was tied at 32 at halftime and the Pipers inched ahead by three points (40-37) early in the second half. Christensen then scored seven points in a row and WRF never trailed again.

Zach Smith was relentless for HU, scoring a team high 15 points. The sophomore guard also had a game high five assists, playing 34 minutes. Herbert Tarpeh (pictured) added a career high dozen points and Dylan See-Rockers delivered 11 and tied for the team lead with Quinton Garvis in rebounds with five.

Hamline was sharp at the free throw line, nailing 10 of 12 efforts.

HU heads back into MIAC play next week. The Pipers, 1-0 in conference games, host St. John's Wednesday (7:00 p.m.) and St. Olaf next Saturday, December 12, also at Hutton. That game will start at 1:00 p.m.
