RESULTS
SAINT PAUL, MINN.—The Hamline University swimming & diving teams hosted Saint John's (Minn.) and Saint Benedict in a Friday-evening double dual. The Pipers got 42 points from the men, and 34 from the women.Â
Leading the men was Kevin Bossou, who registered a first-place score of 183.80 in the 3-meter dive, and a second-place mark of 195.40 in the 1-meter dive. Second place was in the cards for Gus Shaffer, who crossed the finish line at 5:34.84 in the 500 yard freestyle. Andy DeClue crossed the finish line at 2:04.11 in the 200 yard freestyle, good enough for fourth place.Â
The women got first-place times from Case Skaja (1:03.90) in the 100 yard freestyle, and Sila Yurttas (5:38.31) in the 500 yard freestyle. Yurttas took second place in the 200 yard IM with a 2:15.61. Ellsa Wagner-Sorenson notched a pair of third-place times in the 50 yard freestyle (27.51) and 100 yard backstroke (1:07.01).Â
The Pipers will compete at the Macalester / St. Catherine Double Dual on Saturday, November 16 at 11 a.m.
